Nakedpines available locally only as shipping has increased substantially this year making our lovely coat trees very expensive to ship! Please purchase them locally at the farmers market in Butte or pick one up as you travel through our area.

Naked Pine Coat Trees are hand crafted by the artisans here on the mountain. Each tree is a specific type of lodge pole pine that grows in the local forest. Once located the tree (which is about 20 years old) is cut down near the ground, branches trimmed and placed into the wagon. A brand new tree is then planted next to the stump so the forest can rebuild itself. Upon arrival at the shop each tree is HAND peeled (no draw knives) which leaves the actual shape and texture of the tree intact. This can only be accomplished during the first two months of spring when the sap begins to run! The tree is then dried in the sun after which it is lightly hand sanded, the branches shaped and the tree stained and polycoated. Legs are attached and the tree is ready for years of use holding your favorite coat or hat!
